How to make a reservation
Submit a reservation request when you're ready to book the accommodation through our website. You can also send me a message if you need clarification on any details of the listing or to check if the space is available for your dates.
To submit a reservation request:
1. In the Contact section of the page Contact, click on Request a reservation.
2. Review the reservation details and make sure everything is correct.
3. Indicate your payment preferences.
4. Accept the terms and conditions, including the cancellation policy and house rules.
5. Wait for a response. We'll tell you the price and payment methods in the confirmation email. You'll have 24 hours to make your payment; after this time, the reservation will be void.
Requirements to make a Reservation
We have established a policy of asking all guests for certain information as a requirement to make a reservation. Guests must provide all requested information in order to confirm a reservation request. This information helps the host have a clear idea of what to expect and how to contact the guest. The required information is as follows:
- Full name and surname
- Email address
- Phone number
- Acceptance of house rules
Additionally, proof of identity will be requested on the day of arrival for security reasons and compliance with regulations.
Reservation Policies
Our goal is to promote quality, sustainable, and local tourism. Therefore, cancellations are flexible, with full refunds of advance payments within a limited period, as detailed below:
Refund and cancellation
- Cleaning fees are always refunded if the reservation is cancelled prior to arrival.
- Accommodation fees (the total nightly amount charged to you) are refundable under certain circumstances, as outlined below.
- To obtain a full refund of accommodation fees, cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the local check-in time (or 3:00 PM if not specified) on the day of arrival. For example, if your reservation is scheduled for a Friday, you will have until the Wednesday of that week before the scheduled check-in time to cancel your reservation.
- If the guest cancels less than 48 hours before the scheduled arrival time, they will be required to pay the first night's stay. If they have already paid for the accommodation, they will not be refunded the first night's stay.
- If the guest does not show up on the day of the stay and does not notify the court in advance, they must pay the amount corresponding to the first night, and any remaining amount paid will be refunded.
- The long-stay cancellation policy applies to all reservations of 28 nights or more. Cancellation entails:
- If a guest books a long-term stay and decides to cancel the reservation before the arrival date, the first month's reservation will be fully refunded to the host and the guest will not be reimbursed.
- If the guest makes a long-term reservation and decides to cancel it during their stay, they must contact the host to arrange a new check-out date. Regardless of the date chosen, they will be required to pay the corresponding payment within 30 days of the cancellation date, or the remaining portion until the check-out date if it is less than 30 days prior.
- A reservation is not duly cancelled until the guest notifies his/her cancellation in a reliable manner, to do so he/she must send an email to reservas@garedemadrid.es or use the contact form on the website www.garedemadrid.es/contacto.
- Due to duly justified reasons of force majeure, GaredeMadrid may cancel confirmed reservations and issue a full refund of the reservation or amount paid.
Modification of Reservations
Guests can modify a confirmed reservation (for example, shorten the duration or add more nights) by requesting this at least 48 hours in advance.
If a guest books for 28 nights or more, the Long-Stay cancellation policy applies. If you change or cancel a long-stay reservation:
- The first payment is non-refundable.
- If you cancel after the trip has begun, the remaining nights of your reservation are non-refundable. If there are more than 30 nights remaining on your reservation, only the first 30 nights are non-refundable.
The change will be applied as long as the apartment's availability allows it if:
- There are 30 days or more until the arrival date.
- The stay has already begun, but there are 30 days or more left until the departure date.
Conditions of reception and departure from the apartment
Reception on the day of arrival will begin at 3:00 p.m.Check-out from the apartment will be before 12:00.Late check-out may result in a one-night stay charge.
Payment methods
GaredeMadrid offers payment options by credit card, PayPal (no account required), bank transfer, or cash upon arrival at the property if any outstanding balances remain until the price of the reserved stay is paid.
House rules
- It is not allowed to organize parties, events or cause disturbance to neighbors.
- During your stay you must observe at all times the rules of civic conduct, respect and coexistence
- No pets allowed
- No smoking
Claims
The accommodation has complaint forms available to guests. These can be requested through the contact methods garedemadrid.es or by phone. You can also access them and related information through the official website of the Community of Madrid (www.madrid.org).
The parties expressly submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts and Tribunals of the city of Madrid for the resolution of any questions or disputes that may arise in relation to the reservation of the accommodation, without prejudice to any legal provisions imposing specific jurisdiction.
